Rating : 5starLove it!
What a great product! We stir this cereal into all of my son’s baby food. It gives him added calories and the benefit of probiotics in everything that he eats! He is very regular; I think it is because of Happy Bellies cereal. Thank you Happy Baby for another great product! PS – The old cereal containers made great toys! He loves to take the lid on and off and hide other toys inside :) !

Rating : 5starAwesome baby cereal!
This is a fantastic cereal for babies. Probiotics are needed by babies and will help them to avoid thrush which is common in infants, especially if they or their nursing mom has been on antibiotics. Baby’s bodies have the right balance of probiotics and will have less problems with thrush! YEA! The enzymes and probiotics are perfect for babies and a good idea! Finally!

Rating : 5starSuper “MUST HAVE” product for your baby!
Our daughter is now 1 yrs old and loves this! We mix it into everything she eats so that she gets the added DHA and vitamins since she is now off from formula. I highly recommend this to any parent. The quality is super and the results are a very healthy baby!

Rating : 5star The ONLY formula to use!
No one had told me about this product because I am breastfeeding, but when I realized I was going to supplement at night I wanted to find a formula that would work well with breastfeeding. I tried everything on the market and all of them had added sugars and made my baby boy extra gassy and some even gave him a rash. I started reading reviews and found out about Earth’s Best. It is amazing! It smells good, it lessened his gassiness and he absolutely loves the taste. I predominatey breastfeed, but the two bottles he gets a day are always Earth’s Best…you won’t be disapointed. (Too much sugar and carbs in the others).

      Rating : 5starLove This Formula!!
I breastfed my baby boy until he was about 5 months old. At that time I started losing my milk and had to switch to formula. I tried several formulas (giving each of them a looong fair shot) and was disappointed in all of them but this one. This formula smells better (some of them smell just foul), this formula tastes better (Yes, I tasted them) and my little guy didn’t spit up or have gassy tummy aches like he did on other formulas.

Rating : 5starGreat formula, mixes well and organic is a plus!
I switched from enfamil to this. Baby seems to like this much better. The formula is expensive but i have found the best deal on amazon. They had a price mistake so they were giving it for $27 for 4 cans… which got fixed later. But now they had other deals and with subscribe and save it is about $17.15, best price i have found… specially when it retails for $30 +tax.

Rating : 5star the best gluten-free baking mix I have found

My daughter has celiac (a complete inability to eat any wheat, rye, barley, and in her case oatmeal, or any of their starches or glutens). Pamela’s baking and pancake mix is a real heaven-sent product. It tastes good! Unlike some other baking mixes I have tried. It is easy to alter “normal” recipes using Pamela’s mix to have great tasting baked products. The bag has good recipes and Pamela’s products website has additional ones. I would recommend this product to anyone, especially those who don’t want to take the time to mix their own grains or want to keep it on hand for when celiac family or friends come to visit and you would like to provide a delicious, easy to make treat.

Rating : 5starTRY PIZZA CRUST USING THIS MIX – WONDERFUL!
Pamela’s Ultimate Baking and Pancake Mix is wonderful. Haveing been gluten free for 27 years and not being able to find products that were good tasting I gave up and went without until my daughter discovered this mix last year. It makes the best pizza crust – so good my husband does not eat boughten pizza and prefers mine made from the Pamela’s mix. Check out their site for other great recipies. I have tried the sugar cookies, peanutbutter cookies, chocolate chip cookies, banana nutbread, pizza and biscuits. Now I am going to give their bread mix a try. Hope that is as tasty! The price of the mix through Amazon.com is great too!

Rating : 5starThe best pancake mix ever!
This is the best pancake mix I have ever tried. Whether you NEED gluten-free mix or not, it make excellent pancakes! I have tried several other brands, and Pamelas stand above all others, IMHO.

Inexpensive and does the job. By M. H. Vaillant (Florida) Star
I purchased this item to check my house for heating/cooling adjustments and checking insulation and leaks. It has far greater temperature range than I will ever need and it has performed very well, is rugged ( dropped it a couple of times ) and inexpensive. The hard case is a big plus, and overall, it is a great value.

      Affordable IR thermometer Star
Bought one of these a few years ago upon seeing Alton Brown use one in his show “Good Eats”. He uses a model like this one to gauge the exact temperature of a frying pan or grill or whatnot. I also found it useful for looking for drafts in my house.

Very easy to use. Just pull the trigger and point the laser at the spot that you want to measure. (The laser doesn’t actually do the reading, it just lets you know where you’re pointing the IR sensor.)

Accuracy seems pretty good. A radioshack thermometer in my room reads 75.4 degrees and the IR thermometer reads the temperature of the case of the radioshack thermometer at 74.9 — Only 0.5 degrees variance between the two seems pretty good to me.

The only complaint I have is that my specific one has a glitch in it where occasionally the whole thing will “lock-up” and have odd characters displayed on the screen. I’m not sure if this is a quality control thing or a general model defect. The good news is that I’ve figured out that if I use a little “percussive maintenance” (a slap to the side) it will work properly again. I suspect there is a loose connection somewhere, but I haven’t bothered to take it apart yet and see if I can fix it.

Overall a nice little IR thermometer. I dinged it one star because of the mediocre quality control, but maybe I just got a bad one.

      Product Description
      Amazon.com Product Description

The Omron HJ-112 Pocket Pedometer is an advanced, high-tech pedometer that–thanks to unique dual sensor technology–can be carried in your pocket or bag. Now you can just drop your pedometer in your purse to find out how much exercise you get in a typical day of work, errands, and other tasks. Of course, you can also attach it to your belt like a traditional pedometer.

The HJ-112 accurately measures your steps, as well as aerobic steps and minutes. You can also use it to measure calories burned during your workout, as well as the distance you’ve traveled.

The device’s large, easy-to-read LCD display can separately display aerobic steps and minutes walked more than 10 minutes continuously, so you always have the information you need right in front of you. Meanwhile, a seven day history lets you review a full week of exercise. The device also resets at midnight automatically so it’s ready to go every morning. Of course, the device can also function as a handy and highly accurate clock. It also comes with a detachable belt holder and security strap so it’s always close at hand.

The HJ-112 is powered by a replaceable lithium battery (CR2032) that will last six months when used for walking 10,000 steps a day. The device measures approximately 2.8 x 2.1 x .6 inches (H x W x D) and weighs 1.1 ounces (not including battery).

      Keep Track to Succeed! Star
This is pedometer is Consumer Reports #1 rated digital pedometer- and I can see why. It’s extremely light weight and really easy to use with just four big buttons on the front. Here’s a few of its best features:

-it can accurately senses steps in your belt, pocket, OR purse!
-it has a large display for the visually impaired
-it has a 7 day history so you can see progress (or lack of)
-it calculates calories and distance in addition to steps

I’d recommend this little device to anyone who wants to lose weight- just begin one day, and the next day, see if you can maintain or beat your previous step record. Now how easy is that?

So what DIDN’T I like about it? Not much. Perhaps the ONLY sort of negative thing I can say is that you will need a tiny screwdriver to open the back of it to put in the battery. Other than that, if you’re looking to increase your activity a little to improve your health, look no further. Also recommend The Sixty-Second Motivator for anyone who needs more motivation to stick with an exercise program.

Best of Breed: The Gold Standard Among Pedometers
      Star
Since getting attached to pedometers a couple of years ago, I’ve gone through at least a dozen–Digiwalkers, Oregon Scientifics, Omrons. Sometimes the clips would break (Digiwalkers have no spring clip), or the cover would snap off, or they would prove highly inaccurate, or they would be bulky, or they would be too “versatile” and intricate to be practical for someone who was simply looking to get in 10,000 steps for the day. For this reason, I recommended the Sportline 330 as a comparatively rugged, accurate, and inexpensive step counter that, if need be, could be replaced with minimal financial damage.

But recently I saw this “high end” Omron at Walgreen’s and thought I’d give it a spin. Its primary allure: it claims to be so sensitive that you don’t need to wear it on a belt or some other outer wear. Just drop it in your shirt pocket or purse and forget about it.

Guess what? The Omron people aren’t pulling your leg. This is indeed a very sensitive little machine that does what it says it will do, in addition to being fast, easy, convenient, and extremely durable. I decided to test it by walking 30-40 minutes with the Omron in my shirt pocket and the Sportline clipped to my belt. At the end of my walk the Omron and Sportline were within 80 steps of each other. Moreover, it was the Omron that gave me the extra steps (a bonus if you consider the amount of time it takes–practically 2 hours–to log the full 10,000 steps).

The only advanced feature I occasionally use is the memory bank. The device automatically resets to 0 steps while saving the previous day’s count in memory (for up to a week). Although I set the clock, I rarely use the other extra features–calorie counter, aerobic read-out, or even distance covered. I don’t even bother with things like entering stride length and attaching clips or necklaces. This particular Omron model rises above the field because of one thing: quality. It’s accurate, it’s easy and fast, and it’s dependable if not indestructible (I’ve sat on it, inadvertently sent it through the wash, dropped it into a bath-tub). It keeps going, as long as you do. If you have a shirt pocket and know how to read from one to 10,000, you’re on your way.

You can never have too many good pedometers, but this Omron makes it unlikely you’ll need another one any time soon. There’s no question in my mind that this is best of breed, the one that Tiger Woods would use even if he had to pay for it and realized no rewards other than the practical and motivational benefits of the device itself. At its current price, it’s probably the best buy on Amazon.

      Eye opener Star
My husband purchased two of these pedometers in an effort to fight our increasingly sedentary lifestyle. I figured I would probably use it once & then throw it in a desk drawer & forget about it…but that didn’t happen! Not only are these little devices easy to set up & use, but they do the trick of really making you realize how little excercise you get at a desk job!! Just clip it to your belt at the beginning of the day & forget about it. I almost died when I realized that on average I was walking less than 800 steps a day. Talk about a much needed wake up call. We are now taking daily walks and steadily increasing our daily excercise. Well worth the money.
